2014-2015 Curriculum Committee Meeting Dates

The Curriculum Committee is in recess during the summer. COR updates and new course proposals will be processed next academic year according to the following schedule:

September 12, October 3, November 7, December 5, March 6, April 3, May 1, and May 29.

  1. Requested actions are accepted year-round. However, there is no curriculum approval activity during summer and winter intersessions.
  2. Course-level proposals must be submitted electronically via ECD and must follow the process outlined in the LACCD Administrative Regulation E-65.
  3. Program-level proposals must be submitted according to the procedures outlined in the LACCD Administrative Regulation E-64 and summarized on the Pierce Curriculum Process page of this site.
  4. Course-level technical review will take place electronically via ECD on a continuous basis during fall and spring semesters. Technical Review does not take place during summer or winter intersessions.
  5. Program-level technical review will take place on a continuous basis during fall and spring semesters, excluding summer and winter intersessions, via a means of communication acceptable to the technical review members such as email, conference call, or in-person meetings.
  6. Every effort is made to complete the technical review within 14 calendar days from the date the curriculum proposal reaches the Technical Review stop in ECD.
  7. To be placed on the curriculum agenda, all technical review issues must be resolved no less than 7 calendar days prior to a curriculum meeting.  If technical issues remain unresolved with less than 7 calendar days remaining until the next meeting, the request will be delayed until such time that all technical issues are resolved within 7 days prior to the meeting.
  8. The initiator of course and program proposals must be present at the curriculum meeting to discuss their requests unless the Curriculum Chair has contacted them and told them they do not need to attend.  The only exception to this is course archive requests.
