Charter


Responsibilities

The duties of the Academic Policy Committee (APC) shall be to:

  • Review all matters of academic policy and submit proposals of substance regarding academic policy and those that require action to the Academic Senate for final disposition.
  • Form task forces as needed to examine issues and make recommendations to the Academic Policy Committee. Membership in the task forces need not be confined to department chairs, but may include other members drawn from the college community.
  • Perform all other duties as may be assigned to it by the Academic Senate.
  • Set and assess goals for the committee on an annual basis.


Committee Membership

  • Voting Members: all Academic Department Chairs and Program Directors
  • Non-Voting (Resource) Members: 2nd Vice President (of Curriculum), the Faculty Accreditation Coordinator, and the College Outcomes Coordinator


Other Criteria

The 1st Vice President (of Academic Policy) shall preside over all meetings of the Academic Policy Committee.
