Accreditation Steering Committee


All committee sites have been moved to a new SharePoint Online (SPO) Intranet. Login using your LACCD Employee SSO credentials (same for Outlook, Canvas, and PeopleSoft). Existing committee sites are read-only and will be archived soon. Public access to the committee files will continue to exist.

​Mission and Objectives


The Budget Committee is a standing committee of the Pierce College Council. The mission of the Budget Committee is to strive continually to improve the College financial and budgeting processes and outcomes. The objectives of the Budget Committee include, among others that may be designated by the PCC:

1. To gain a general understanding of relevant State, District and College finances, especially concerning the College's Unrestricted funds.
2. To promote discussions among Budget Committee members, PCC members, faculty and staff regarding financial matters.
3. To promote transparency and broad understanding of financial issues.
4. To review budget-related processes and recommend improvements, as needed.
5. To review major budget requests, and make recommendations and observations to the PCC regarding budget strategies and priorities.
6. To participate in and/or recommend related special studies, task forces or projects, as needed.
